Who We Fund
At Parkland Smile Initiative, we support aspiring dental therapy students who are committed to serving communities with limited access to oral healthcare. We focus on funding students who face barriers to traditional financial aid—those who may not qualify for student loans or conventional scholarships but are driven by a deep sense of purpose and service.
We believe in education through service. That means every student we support is not only working toward their own future, but also committed to giving back. In return for this investment, each student provides four years of service: two years of volunteer support during their education, followed by two years of paid community dental work through PSI. This model ensures both workforce development and continuity of care in neglected areas.
